Iya Valley and being a guide to Mika's friends from Kobe
Last weekend, after the lovely friday beach lash, mika and i went to the mountains for a quiet night in before waking up early the next morning to show a couple of Mika's friends around Kochi coz they had driven up here for the day! Seeing as tho they live in a city i decided (thats right, I decided coz japanese people have brain cramps if they have to decide shit) to take them to Iya Valley, which is just out off the border of kochi in Tokushima. Mika and i had never been there as well so we all got in my car and made the trek into the valley.
Our first stop after a lovely lunch was to see the Pissing Boy statue......comedy! but great view!
..hehe..
Heres a bit of a full frontal view
The two on the left are Mikas mates from Kobe. I honestly hadnt met them more than once so i didnt really get along too well with them. How big is that guys head?!?
its funny because its a statue of a boy pissing!
Then after getting a little lost, we found Kazura Bridge, which is a bridge made from vines and wooden planks to walk on and shit. Every 3 years they have to change the vines. It is quite scary to walk across as Mika soon found out.
U pay 500yen to cross this bridge and its constantly moving and swinging around and shite.
its best not to look down too much or else your in the drink. and ud better take one beam at a time and hold onto something.
Mika was scared a bit and is trying to smile but cant quite manage to get that worried look off of her face
... see its still there.
view from the bridge
Biwa-taki (Biwa Waterfall)
We didnt have have time to show them more and they had to work the next day so we left Iya quickly and i took them for a quick look at Kochi Castle before sending them off.
