WOH WOH WOH, HANSHIN TIGERS, FURE FURE FURE FURE

Something happened in Kochi Prefecture that only happens once a year! The Hanshin Tigers came down for a pre-season training camp, and while they were there they held a match in a small city east of where i live. A whole bunch of us JETs managed to get a hold of some tickets thanks to Joel. Got to the game after parking at Flintys then taking the train in, and we were kept entertained with an excellent display of the HanshinTigers kicking the arse off of one the shittier teams in the Japanese professional baseball league, the Orix Buffaloes! I did my best to drink and cheer on my team and show the others what ur supposed to do at a baseball game! Vercs, Flinty and myself got quite into it, shouting abuse at both teams (usually for no reason) but most of the other JETs there seemed to show no interest whatsoever which was disappointing. After the match, we drank more and played some outdoor cricket before heading back to Flintys for some more drinks. After that, we went out to Nahari to get up to no good like we usually do. I took some slippers from the restaurant Rakuen (paradise) and proceeded to walk in them around Nahari in search of beer and conbini food! Everything was ok coz i was wearing those slippers....hehe. Then as per usual we headed to the local karaoke bar to belt out some classic tunes. After karaoke we headed back to crash at Flintys as we were all quite rooted from drinking non-stop since lunchtime at the baseball game! Classic day!

Dan's Stag party

Seeing as tho Dans wedding is in the next couple of weeks, Flinty, Vercs, Longstaff, Tim and myself decided to organise a stag night out for the big fella! The location was in Takamatsu, and after all squishing into Vercs lash wagon (a mini van) we headed off there and proceeded on to giving Dan a night he'd remember! Now i know im usually the story teller but in this case im not going to say what mischief we got up to coz what happens in a stag night, stays with the people who took part in it. All i can say is that the van ride up there was classic and we all managed to give Dan a night no doubt he'll remember......well, some bits anyway! hehe. heres a little peak into the night (actually they were the only fotos i took on my mobile)

Timmy in the back of the lash wagon. There were no seats in the back. just 4 grown men cramped together with champagne, streamers and only a limited supply of beer! Damn those service areas for not having beer vending machines!!
But thank god for service areas providing toilets for drunk gaijin on a bucks night! classic!! Notice Flinty is using the disabled toilet and Dan is using the kiddy one! From left to right: Tim (yes he is really that tall), Vercs, Longstaff, Flinty and Dan (congrats man)

Watch out for old weird Japanese people who live in the inaka (countryside)!

Some old Japanese guy had the sudden urge to feel my teeth out of the blue while i was drinking with the locals the other day. I had to ask why he stuck his grotty finger on my front teeth and he said it was to check if foriegn people have teeth like Japanese people! Apparently us human beings teeth feel different than just the Japanese peoples........YEAH RIGHT!!!!

this is the sight that confronted me as i walked out my front door this morning. I had no idea it snowed that much, or at all before i opened the door to walk to school.
