SPRING HOLIDAY- Hanami

Recently, for the last week i had for the spring holidays, i spent the week (except for weekends coz i genki) in Kobe at Mika's. I decided this time to drive there and it was quite a cruisy drive to get there and cheaper than i thought! We did various stuff there and on Wednesday i decided we should go to Kyoto for some Hanami (cherry blossom veiwing). Not all the trees were in bloom but thankfully some were so these are random pictures of the day! enjoy

Just when u thought some people couldnt ask anything dumber........

.......the lady who is the janitor/caretaker of the board of EDUCATION where i work here in Monobe asked me the other day, when we were talking about how the grammar on one of the intermediate students in my eikaiwa class is average (ie shit), "Do you have grammar over there in Australia?" Now, usually i would be pissing myself laughing on the ground by this stage but i slowly getting used to these sorts of questions. So i told her in my best smart arse Japanese that of course we do, all languages have some sort of grammar (dumbass). how else would we communicate? do u think we are all cavemen over there ooogering and boogering away at each other?

Gappei is a word I'm beginning to hate!

Recently my village has merged (gappei) with two other towns to make Kami City. My village was also turned into a village as i have previously posted! The main reason for this merger is that Kochi Prefecture is tight as a dogs arse with its money as it doesnt have any and has now put a lot of people out of work or into newer, shittier jobs. I no longer work for the Monobe Board of Education (BOE), but now for Kami City. All it meant for a while was that i had to swipe a timecard in and out everyday instead of just putting my seal on a piece of paper, but now it means i also have to work in Tosayamada, which is two towns away, twice a week at a couple of primary schools. Thankfully i havent wont be starting that until friday but im not looking forward to it as i have become quite accustomed to my cushy lifestyle here. but as the japanese love saying SHIKATANAI (it cant be helped) i better GANBURU(hang in there) and shut the fuck up. hey but at least theyre lending me a car to drive there.

anyways, because of this gappei, a few things have really started to piss me of:
1) if im late even by one fucking minute, theyve said they have the right to take one hour of my holiday leave away
2) i have to wear a stupid fucking nametag everywhere i go now
3) theyve changed my pay day from the 16th of every month to the 28th (which is really helping this month after coming back from the spring holidays....gee thanks cockheads.
4) they are that stingy that they cant continue paying my rent which they told they would do when i got here. i now have to pay half (its still only a bit over $100 but its the principle bitches)
5) i cant teach my kindy kids again until december
6) noone has a fucking clue of what im supposed to be doing at these new primary schools!
7) noone has a fucking clue of what theyre supposed to be doing

anyways, i needed to vent out some anger coz noone hear speaks proper English (except maybe for my JTE) and theyre all ignorant country bumpkins.......hehe..... nah theyre not all that bad! laters
